Ashley's Dress

I had the great honor of making this young lady's Prom dress. This time around I made her wedding gown and her Grandmother and Mom's dress. These are priceless opportunities when making a custom design dress. Some of the special touches during fittings, video chatting with Mom and Grandmom during her fitting. Hand embroidering the names of her Usilla (Great Grandmother), Lois (Grandmother). Dawm (Mother), onto the left side of the gown train, which is the side with the heart. Also the embroidery is embellished with real pearls. I look forward to photos and will share them as soon as I receive them. Braid Love

Braids have are a work of art and Debra Hare-Bey is one of masters in the magic of woven hair.  This was the 3rd year of International I Love Braids Day, this year at Restoration Plaza.  You can see more about 2019 Braid Love Day here, Reflections- 2019 Braid Love Celebration. Making Black Beans

I got this crock pot as a Christmas Gift about 15+ years ago. It only goes on to high or low heat, but it does do the job of making beans. One day I will get one of those Insta Pots, for now my Crock Pot is fine. I didn't measure the spices, it was more like eyeballing. The salt was about 1/2 teaspoon, because you can taste at the near end and correct it, but when you add too much salt it's just salty.
