I was commissioned to create a Judges collar, similar to what Judge Ginsburg wore over her robes. I used purple silk satin and beaded the collar with fresh water pearls, glass beads, and some crystals and rhinestones. I am using Tulip Beading Needles, which have a larger eye for threading. The size 11. The thread is Silamide Bead Thread Size A.
The pearls I had in my supplies.
The thread and beads from Bead Stuff,
I purchased the beads from Toho Shoji,
My apartment has been undergoing a change. In 2017 I had my kitchen done over (See kitchen make-over here https://bit.ly/3jujjPG). It was quite a big project. The designer was Keita Turner (https://www.keitaturnerdesign.com/). This has morphed into an ongoing project and much needed surgery for this apartment. Although Keita and I both took photos via cell phones and point and shoots, she needed professional photos. Keita created a block buster team and below is a short clips of the day. Keita also wore for a silk patchwork tunic (see more dresses here https://bit.ly/3cWb8ZZ). This was actually a Picnic Roast Pork. I have passed by this type of meat, thinking it would be too complicated. It was actually very easy. I did take the layer of fat off and that I didn't need to do, next time I won't do that. It was tasty just the same.I used that layer of fat and the bone for my red beans that I cooked the next day. I used the recipe from Spoonbread and Strawberry Wine cookbook (it is available on Amazon, https://amzn.to/3aAhblJ), by Norma Jean and Carole Darden. This book is filled with their family stories and recipes. The pork recipe is from J. B. Darden and he is described as a meat and potato...
Back in the day we called them Hot Pants. Then some called them Daisy Dukes. Now I guess they are short shorts, but if there is another name let me know.
