A Rock Star Night

June 10th 2017, Union Docs (https://uniondocs.org/), premiered 8 short films, one of which I was involved with.......for me that was pretty cool. Two programs of very strong work; one that enters on remarkable spaces of community and resistance, and another centered on unshakeable duos, odd couples, and partners in the struggle. They began the first part of the program in Sternberg Park aka The Big Park. The second part was viewed at Union Docs.It was an incredible night to watch the creative work of these filmakers. See more about the project here, https://uniondocs.org/event/2017-06-10-collaborative-studio-preview-park/More info about Union DocsMusicThe Dotted LinePC - Onehttp://freemusicarchive.org/music/PC-ONE/

Sarah, Ivana, Grace first interview in February Back in February I got an email from Grace Remington, who stated she and her colleagues were creating a documentary on Lindsay Park.  Believing the email was spam, I responded, but not hitting reply, I created a separate email.....that she never got.  Grace is a true researcher and she called me.  After we talked I resent her an email containing many, maaaaaany, maaaaaaaaaaaaaany videos that I have done about Lindsay Park.  I gave her a link to my 8 MM Project (go ahead I dare you to look) and a link to my other playlist Lindsay Park Williamsburg Brooklyn.  To my surprise......she viewed them.   I have lived with photos for years,...

This must have been in the late 90's (don't remember the exact year) but she had a Whitney membership and we were able to go to the early opening....My mother had a great respect for art, even though Andy Warhol did not seem like her speed, it didn't matter, it was art and it was interesting. There...

Photo Assignments, I Made the cut

I love photography and stumbled Ted Forbes, when I was looking for more info on Vivian Maier.  Although his critique of Ms Maier was a bit prickly and I disagreed with some of it, I subscribed and have been hooked, (Videos 1, 2 , and 3 ). His videos are jam packed with inspiration and include new gear, technique, and a favorite of viewers.....photo assignments.  Viewers participate in a bi-weekly photo assignment by posting them through Social Networks, which helps you push yourself a bit farther......creatively.  He then creates a video using the submissions......but OH BOY when your photos makes the cut.....it's quite a compliment. This past assignment, which was photo sequences and I made the cut! You can enter...
